&Daughter // AW19

&Daughter // AW19

&Daughter is back among our rails and bringing warmth to our hearts (it’s honestly deserving of that level of cheese).  And we couldn’t think of anything better than snuggling up next to the fire with a glass of wine and eating cheese in one of their creations. Or going out on crisp morning walk with cheese, sloe gin and an &Daughter. Or dancing around in our pants, eating cheese and in an &Daughter.

It’s the simple joys and appreciation of craftmanship (or craftwomanship) that are at the heart of &Daughter. A knit designed for the modern woman, but with the values and quality of days gone by.  Sustainability and provenance guide its central purpose, praising craft, permanence and beauty through an offering of quality objects that never fall out of favour.

A ‘slow’ knitwear brand (what the hell does that mean?). It is a bit of a trendy buzzy word for a new wave of consumerism or essentially a move towards how consumerism used to be. This being using high quality, local materials, natural dyes and yarns and using expert makers from the country of consumption. So, basically it just means high quality, thoughtful and sustainable.

In &Daughter’s case, all their knitwear is created from the finest 100% natural yarns, sourced locally from expert spinners and makers in the United Kingdom & Ireland. The fully-fashioned process means each section of a garment is knitted individually, hand-linked then hand-finished to achieve the finest possible execution. It is a small batch, family-led business.

Bottom line, &Daughter is just bloody brilliant from their ethics through to the beauty of their product. A knit for all from cropped roll necks to oversized cardis. So, come in or click here to find your new BBF knit.
