What is that we smell? A bit of Spring (and a lot of optimism) ? But how absolutely lovely is it to have some milder temperatures? It is also so lovely to be getting in some more spring collections (many currently exclusive to the store, yet to be featured on the web. But hold on to your socks, as we will be uploading more items day by day to the web).
And what is there I hear you ask ? Well, so many goodies it is hard to know where to start. Maybe at the feet ? We have had a new stash of some seriously cool and seriously comfy ASH shoes. From their take on a buckle-up vintage baseball shoe, to a Dad trainer (big, chunky and funky), to some glamorous yet comfy two strap sandals. Two new pair of pure bliss Penelope Chilver boots, in a chalky white and the other in a tan suede have arrived (my favourites). Lastly, on the shoe front a classic pair of GH Bass slip-on loafers are on the shelves.
Now here is the most exciting arrival. Jumper 123 Cashmere ! From colour block cropped cardigans, to oversized jumpers with daggers (trust me, it looks cool) to stripy knitted rugby style polos. They are all great spring weights to throw on and off, but look great whilst doing it.
Oh, our old faithful Reiko high rise, supersoft chinos are in in their spring colours of sunflower yellow, dusky coral and rich carbon. A trouser which is consistently reliable, extremely flattering and always in great colours. Hod chinos in some vibrant, tropical patterns are lurking. Again, the most perfect spring/summer trouser, easy to wear but just a bit different.
We also have some undeniably, irresistible boxy shirts and shirt dresses from Folk in collaboration with contemporary artist Alfie Kungu. Based in London but originally from Hebden Bridge (Yorkshire), Alfie has a wonderful eye for colour and shapes which have been translated on to the minimalist silhouettes of Folk. It is certainly a collection which is particularly special and won’t be hanging around for long.
