SS24 Trends - Make Them Yours
The Meadows are framed with colourful crocus, the brighter nights are slowly creeping in and we can already hear the hazy white wine evenings calling our names. As we run our final reduction on last season’s pieces and our sale comes to a close; it's time to start making space for the new and thinking ahead to the exciting trends of SS24’s catwalks and how to wear them off the runway!
As many designers presented their own visions of ever evolving modern beauty and femininity, the common theme of empowerment was expressed throughout. Sarah Burton in her final collection for Alexander McQueen found this ‘power’ in the female form itself, whilst Miuccia Prada of MiuMiu explored empowerment through individuality and ‘reactive’ style, which saw a juxtaposition of pieces, including those that show ‘traces of living’.
Even with such an exciting variety in creative directions, the prominent trends were clear; some of which originally cropped up in AW23, have developed further in the new year which meant ‘quiet luxury’ and ‘discreet chic’ continue to make up the latest runway taglines. In reflection of this, we see wardrobe staples such as good denim, knitwear basics and ballet flats being elevated by metallic statement pieces, impressive prints and luxurious fabrics.

Shapes
The outlines of the season exude confidence with the inclusion of crisp white shirts, power suits and padded shoulders. Skinny jeans are still out and baggy boyish fits are well and truly in with oversized pieces making a statement in some of our favourite collections.
PATTERNS
Spring had truly sprung with floral prints featuring most heavily across all brands. We also saw statement-making stripes, plaids and animal prints.
COLOURS
Floaty pastels were still around but this year’s biggest pops were primary reds, cobalt blues and deep greens with a mix of molten metallics bringing an air of luxury along with them.
